Live captions, translated
Read what people around you are saying
Talk‑si turns what people around you say into captions on your phone and translates them as they speak. At a lecture, an appointment, or an office, you can read instead of guessing.
It runs in a browser. There is no app to install.
Your audio is never stored
Your audio is sent to our speech provider and deleted after it becomes text. Neither we nor anyone working for us keeps a recording. We store the returned text so you can read the session again later.
Read the privacy policyThree ways to use it
On your own
One phone, one person reading. You follow the speech around you — a lecture you are lost in, a waiting room, a counter.
A conversation
Place one phone between you. Each half of the screen uses the language of the person facing it. The text on the far half is turned around so the other person can read it.
An event
One microphone in the room and a code to join it. Everybody there reads the same talk on their own phone.
You pay only for the seconds when translation arrives
You add money to your balance before use. It is spent by the second, and only while translation is arriving. Nothing is deducted when no translation arrives, and your balance can never fall below zero.
No subscription, and your card is not stored
No payment company is involved. You transfer the money yourself outside Talk‑si, upload a photo of the receipt, and a staff member confirms it. Money you do not use stays in your account.
Translation stops at zero, with no bill
When your balance runs out, translation stops. You owe nothing afterwards, and nobody will ask you to pay.
Sign in in one step, with no password
There is no password to lose. Enter your email address and you will receive a six-digit code, or choose Sign in with Google. Google provides only your email address, nothing else.
Talk‑si's buttons and text are available in nine languages
All interface text in Talk‑si is available in all nine languages. The layout is mirrored for languages read from right to left. Talk‑si can recognise and translate speech in many more languages.

What it cannot do
Speech recognition and translation can make mistakes. A caption can look clear and certain while saying something the speaker never said. Do not rely on Talk‑si when a mistake could have serious consequences. Use a human interpreter in medical, legal, financial, and emergency situations.

Choose the language you understand best, then the language people around you are speaking. After that, every screen is shown in your language.
